The CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal.

Kate Greenaway was a children's book illustrator. She was born in 1846, and died in 1905. The CILIP Kate Greenaway medal focuses on excellent illustration in books for children. It started giving prizes in 1955. Sadly, some of the winning books are now out of print. This award is for the illustration, and sometimes the books are reprinted but with a different illustrator. (Or sometimes with no illustration!) So watch out, because I might have linked to the wrong version of the book. (Please do let me know if I have.)
